Canvas - Ignite AI Search

The IgniteAI Search tool allows instructors and students to search content of a Canvas course site to more easily find course materials.

Leveraging semantic algorithms and AI, IgniteAI Search allows users to search Canvas course content by understanding the context of queries and finding relevant results based on that context. IgniteAI Search can search Assignments, Announcements, Discussions, and Pages.

1. Navigate to the course where you want to enable IgniteAI Search and click on "Settings" in the Course Navigation menu on the bottom-left side.
2. Click on the "Feature Options" tab across the top.
3. Find the feature option called "IgniteAI Search for Courses".  You can use the search bar at the top to help you locate this option.
4. Click on the red X and select "Enable". The red X will become a green check mark to denote that your changes are saved. If there is a red x , then the tool has not yet been enabled. If there is a green check mark, the tool is already enabled.
5. Refresh your page or navigate to the course homepage. You will now see "IgniteAI Search" at the top of your navigation.
