Dialing Instructions

The university’s area code is 253 and all campus extensions have the prefix of 879. Ex.: 253.879.XXXX

  • On-campus calls - Dial the last four digits of the telephone number.
  • Off-campus calls - Dial number normally, using 10 digits including the area code.

How do I stay logged in to Zoom on my computer?

 

Click on your picture in the right hand corner > Settings > General > click Start Zoom when I start my computer and silently start Zoom when I start Windows

Why am I being logged out of Zoom?

 

You can be signed in to Zoom on one computer, one tablet, and one phone at a time. If you sign into an additional device while logged into another device of the same type, you will be logged out automatically on the first device.

How do I hear the phone ring when using a headset?

 

In the Zoom application, open Settings by clicking on your picture in the top right corner > Settings > click on Audio > In the Speaker field check the box next to Use separate audio device to play ringtone simultaneously and select the device you would like to hear the ringtone from.

Why was I asked to log back into Zoom?

 

For security purposes Zoom will ask you to reenter your Zoom credentials every 60 days on each device

Log into the Zoom web portal https://pugetsound-edu.zoom.us/ and navigate to Phone > Settings > Call Handling > When I’m busy on another call > Select your preference.

How can I receive voicemail transcription with Zoom Phone?

 

Zoom Phone extensions are linked to a users email and will automatically send an email with the voicemail recording and transcription as well as being available in the Zoom application by navigating to Phone > Voicemail

How do I set the PIN code for Zoom Phone?

 

  1. Go to the Zoom portal at pugetsound-edu.zoom.us and authenticate
  2. Click on Phone in the left-hand column
  3. Click Settings and scroll down to the Desk Phone section
  4. Next to PIN Code, click Show or Edit
  5. Update your PIN code and click Save
