Important Notes
-
Moderation Limitations: While you can provide extended time through the Moderate page, moderation cannot be used to extend the availability window of a quiz. In other words, the quiz must be open (based on the availability dates/times) for a student to use their full extended time.
For example: If a quiz is set to close at 2:00 PM and a student is given 1.5x time starting at 1:30 PM, they will still be cut off at 2:00 PM — not at 2:15 PM.
➤ To avoid this issue, ensure the quiz availability window accommodates the extended time.
- Publishing Requirement: Ensure the quiz is published before attempting to moderate or set accommodations.
- Real-Time Adjustments: If a student has already started a quiz, you can still provide accommodations by accessing the Moderate page and adjusting settings as needed.
- Consistency: Global accommodations apply to all New Quizzes, reducing the need to set them individually.
